By pressing this button and submitting my story, I confirm that I have read and agree to this Story Submission Consent and Release. I voluntarily authorize Asha Mahari LLC, and its affiliates, successors, licensees, and designees (collectively, “Asha Mahari”), to use my submitted story in books, blogs, websites, social media, marketing materials, and other print, digital, audio, or audiovisual content.

I grant Asha Mahari a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, and irrevocable license to reproduce, publish, distribute, display, perform, adapt, edit, excerpt, translate, combine with other material, and otherwise use the submission in any media now known or later developed. Asha Mahari is not required to use or publish my submission.

I understand that Asha Mahari may edit the submission for length, clarity, style, formatting, and protection of my anonymity, provided that the edits do not intentionally misrepresent the substance of my story. I understand that Asha Mahari will use reasonable efforts to remove or change identifying details, but cannot guarantee that I will be unidentifiable based on the facts or circumstances described. I agree not to include names or unnecessary identifying information about myself or any other person.

I understand that I will not receive payment, royalties, approval rights, attribution, or notice before or after any use of the submission.

Limitation on the Nature of Claims. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I waive, release, and agree not to assert against Asha Mahari or its affiliates, successors, licensees, designees, employees, contractors, or representatives any claim arising from or relating to the authorized collection, editing, adaptation, use, publication, reproduction, distribution, display, promotion, or other exploitation of my submission. This limitation includes claims for copyright infringement; violation of privacy or publicity rights; misappropriation of name, image, likeness, voice, identity, or story; defamation, false light, or emotional distress arising from authorized editorial changes or publication; lack of attribution, credit, notice, consultation, or approval; and any claim for compensation, royalties, profits, accounting, unjust enrichment, or other payment.

This limitation applies only to claims arising from uses authorized by this Consent and Release. It does not waive any claim that cannot lawfully be waived or any claim arising from Asha Mahari’s use of the submission outside the scope of the rights granted here.

I represent that: (1) I am at least 18 years old and legally able to provide this consent; (2) the submission is my original work or I have all rights necessary to submit it; (3) the submission does not knowingly infringe another person’s rights; and (4) I have not included confidential information that I am legally prohibited from disclosing.

I understand that submitting my story does not create an employment, agency, fiduciary, professional, or other special relationship with Asha Mahari. My electronic acceptance and submission are intended to constitute my signature and agreement to these terms.
